Built in December 2014. The wood is stained and has a satin polyurethane finish. There is a small ding in the wood from when by headphone stand tipped over on it (see pictures). The tubes that are currently in it is GE 6AS7GA for the power tube and a VM Westinghouse 12AU7 for the input which both work and sound great. I have a few other power tubes (GE 6080, Sylvania 6AS7G, RCA 6AS7G, and a Sylvania 6080 WB) however besides the RCA (which works great) they have issues, some microphonic, some hum but they give you a good idea of how different tubes change the sound. The input tubes I have besides the one in it are RCA Clear Top (I think), GE, Lafayette, Magnavox, and Tung-Sol 12AU7s.
