Cme Uf8 Driver Windows 8
Hi, trying out reaper, however I found interesting issue with my USB MIDI keyboard, CME UF7. ( ) Immediately I activated the CME7 MIDI input from preferences, Reaper did hang, occupying 100% of CPU power. I am only able to kill the process from task manager, if I wait long enough for task manager to activate. I did look further on this: If my UF7 is on, Reaper hangs immediately after startup, and I need to kill the process. If UF7 is off, I have no similar issues. I've tried this with two Reaper versions, 2.026 and 2.027.
I have previous experience with same computer, same Windows XP install and Cubase SX2, SX3, Cubase 4, Reason 2 & 3, Traction 2 & 3, several stand alone synths and propably couple of sequencers I do not remember right now, and no, I have not had similar issue with them. (And yes, I am looking for sequencer that would work well for my usage I also have Korg MS-20 controller and Emagic AMT-8, those do not cause similar behaviour. I've tried to re-install CME, no help, tried using another USB port, no help. Spintonik I have the UF-6.if you have the USB drivers working, then you may be a magician. I have been over to the CME-PRO forums, and the bottom line is this: this series of controller had a bad USB implementation, which they have fixed in the newer line of UF-XX keyboards. They are rumoring that the mainbaord from the new series may be made available for retro-fitting the UF-X series.but no dates, no prices. Lots of posts on how to get the USB drivers to work.I am in IT, and finally hung that up, and use only the MIDI ina and out.
I do like the keyboard. Engineering Drawing Handbook Standards Australia Online. and for what I do, MIDI in and out are fine.so the USB stuff is no issue for me. Anyway.the USB drivers are very problmatic. I am contemplating aquiring the CME UF6 61-Key MIDI Controller and UF-400e FireWire Card.
I am aware of the possible USB driver issues and understand how to use MapleVMC to get around this (or just connect with midi). My question is how well does it control Reaper? In other words do the faders adjust volume of a track, do the transport buttons work, etc.? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Michaelos here is my solution to make UF8's transport works in reaper. If u use USB port for connection, u should install v1.05 driver MIDI-OX MIDI Yoke.
When u use it, u should press 'channel + Dual' first to adjust the value to 1, this makes the keyboard to use the USB port. Then, open MIDI-OX, make your UFx's MIDI output as MIDI-OX's input and make its output go to one of the MIDI Yoke's input. Now use the MIDI Filter function in MIDI-OX to filter out 'Timing Clock' and 'Active Sensing', choose 'Apply Filter to Input Monitor too' (if need) as well, press ok. Go to reaper, make the MIDI Yoke cable u used before 'Enable + Control', now u can go 'Actions' menu to assign each button of your UFx's to fit Reaper's tansport. From now, each time you want to use your UFx's transport in reaper later, u should open MIDI-OX first. If u use MIDI port for connection, u should install UF Editor MIDI Yoke. When u use it, u should press 'channel + Dual' first to adjust the value to 0, this makes the keyboard to use the MIDI port.
